Last night I had some weird dreams. For me, it is all of nothin'. Sometimes I don't dream for months, and then BAM, CRAZY DREAMS NON STOP! I wake up in the morning and feel exhausted! Last night I dreamt that I was going to the Oprah show, and I walked out to go to the bathroom before the show started and she was just sitting there on a couch right in the lobby...just kicking it. So of course I was like OPRAH!!! I LOVE YOU! And I went to give her a hug, however I practically knocked her out. I tried to give one of those awkward hugs where the person is sitting down and you attempt to give them a hug while still standing up. So yeah, I had on some huge sunglasses and I knocked her in the head with them. Of course she did not care, and she gave me a kiss on the check. She said we could take a picture together, but then my phone rang (stupid phone always ringing at the wrong moment) and when I got off the phone she was walking (more like flying close to the ground in an upright position!) and I could never catch her! Always wanted to meet her, and now I did. So that is it. Now I can die.

Heck, why not?!
In my google search for the Asian man on the toilet below, I found some really funny toilet things, and just couldn't resist sharing.
This one is for all those people out there that like to fiddle there thumbs and tap their feet to a beat when takin' care of business.
And this one, is for you Bree. If you are truly dedicated, you wouldn't let anything stop you!
Believe it or not I have experienced myself the oddity of playing games on toilet paper while in the potty. When I was living in Vienna, the family that I lived with had German/Austrian trivia on their toilet paper. I had what some might call a bit of an IBS problem while over there, so lets just credit my knowledge of random Austrian and German facts and mad German skills to the rolls and rolls of toilet paper I read and not to the scary German teacher with a hairy mole.

Just out of reeeeach......

This might be TMI (too much info) for some people, but I am a rather open person, and this is my blog, so I am just going to talk about it. I'll just come out and say that I am not a super popular person, of this I am not ashamed. Thus, it is rare if I "go over" our minutes each month. However, almost every time I am using the bathroom, my phone is ringing off the hizzzle! What is it about this phenomenon? Does this happen to anyone else? It is always just as I sit down when the latest "hot pick" from Verizon starts playing from my pink razor just out of reach. There is always this instinct when a cell phone rings to drop everything and run for it. Sometimes when I hear my phone going off in my purse, I feel like I am trying to find a ticking bomb...heaven forbid I miss a call from my mom again! (I love you mom) Ok, so my point being, it is hard for me to just hear out the latest ring tone download until my phone starts beeping to indicate a missed call like a heart monitor (you know the ones that are always beeping in the background of those hospital scenes in the soap operas?!) Anyways, I did not intent to go into this much detail, I just wanted to know this happens to anyone else?!?!

Squatter in #7307. Help please?!
In case you didn't know...
"Squatting is the act of occupying an abandoned or unoccupied space or building that the squatter does not own, rent or otherwise have permission to use."
And we just happen to have a little squatting problem at our apartment complex this week! Some people who moved out thought they would get back at the management office and went and told a bunch of homeless people that there are empty apartments here that are unlocked! CRAZY!!! So tonight, we had one on our floor, and our neighbor called the police! What the shiz!?! I love apartment living. Never a dull moment.
Here is what I thought squatting was...I guess Talega is doing down hill. I am glad we pay our limbs each month to share our complex with the local druggies.

Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Denzel Washington, Victoria and Wicked!
Since this weekend was our anniversary we decided to have some serious fun. On Saturday we drove up to Beverly Hills and just happen to see Mr. Washington on the drive up! We checked into our hotel and then went on a little drive in search of some more stars. We approached Rodeo Drive and I have my camera out and ready...even took a picture of the street sign..and as we make the left hand turn onto Rodeo, we look to the left and there, in front of Louis Vuitton, are three big black Escalades and two HUGE black body guards. There were some people standing outside of the shop waiting for whoever it was to come out...I got so excited I did not even take a picture! I was practically screaming for Matt to stop/park/pull over/or turn around!!!! If you have ever driven down Rodeo Drive, especially on a Saturday, you would know that parking or stopping for me to jump out is practically impossible. We did not make it back in time to see who it was...but I am convinced it was Victoria. After my close encounter, we headed to Hollywood Blvd. We hit up the Wax Museum, and then an amazing dinner. We went to The Grill on Hollywood, and it was soooo yummy and super nice. I had never been to a restaurant were they sweep off the little bread crumbs off the table in between courses, or where they fill our water EVERY TIME you take a sip! I kinda liked it! After dinner we went to see Wicked...and it was amazing! I loved it. And Matt even liked it too. We went back to the hotel and watched movies till late and then slept in the next morning!!! The weekend had a great ending with a wienie roast at the beach with the fam!
Denzel Washington
Do you think it is him?!

shhh..don't tell matt..

I had one of those mornings...if you can call 10:30 morning, that you would absolutely die if you husband made a surprise visit home. I woke up at 9:30, I know I have such a hard life. I threw on my teal shirt I was wearing yesterday that I found on the floor, and some pink sweatpants I found in my unpacked bag. HOT! Made some calls and wrote some emails about my schooling problem...and then DUN DUN DUN...I got back in bed ladies. That is right. I grabbed my book, turned off my phone, got a big bowl of Trix (I don't ever eat sugar cereal) and got back into my unmade bed. I was almost laughing at myself. It was GREAT! It was like I was some other person leading some type of luxurious life (if I was really a luxurious person, I probably wouldn't be eating Trix..maybe an omelet) I even spilled a little milk on my chin a few times, and I just whipped it on my shirt. I gave my self till 11 before I had to get ready to work. But when the clock read 11:00, what did I do??? Got another bowl of cereal, and read for like 20 more minutes. Who cares that I had no make up on and wore a hat all day. The 45 minutes of peer bliss this morning was well worth it.
Ps.Eclipse, because that is what this post is really about:
Finished it. LOVED it. And sad that I have to wait so long for #4.

Morphine is the bomb, and so is Palm Springs!
Our family weekend is Palm Springs was so much fun and a little drama too! We had tons of fun relaxing in the pool, eating too much junk food, sleeping, reading for the girls, and watching movies for the boys. We celebrated Danielle's B-day one night at Kobe Steakhouse, which was so much fun. The whole time my mom wasn't feeling too hot, and got worse and worse until one morning she woke up and drove herself to the ER with out telling anyone! Crazy lady! She ended up having to get her appendix removed last night! We went into visit her and she said, "Morphine is the bomb"...we just about lost it! Poor little mama. She is still in Palm Springs with my Dad recovering. Palm Springs has been a tradition every summer, but the last time we were there I was in the hospital...this time her....we may not be going back!
Me and Matt at Kobe.
Amazing way to grill onions! I might try that tomorrow night!
The whole fam damily.
Me and my sister! The one shot of us without "Eclipse" in our hands!
Goodbye desert!!!

Big girls don't cry.

Yes they do Fergie and Frankie Valli. The past year has been a struggle to be able to complete my student teaching here in California instead of Utah. I was told a year and half ago that I could do it...hence the move to CA. Seriously, everyday I fight it and try to make it work, I talk to 22345234 of my people and try to come up with a solution. With another school year approaching, this was the week it has to happen. I was and am determined. I called all my 23423 people to tell them whats up, and of course no one seemed to be in town, or even country. So, tonight, after another missed communication, and failure, I laid down on the couch and cried like a baby. It was a year of frustration coming out. And then sure enough, just after Matt had calmed me down, and I composed myself, I got the call I had been waiting for. Nothing is figured out yet, but I made progress. My little cry sess- worth it!

PINKBERRY
Well, I thought I should dedicate a whole post just to Pinkberry. It was......AMAZING. Not only was the actual product great, but the decor was really unique. I loved it! So much, that I snatched Danielle's camera and snapped some shots to post on here. I was a little sceptical when my mom, who loves frozen yogurt, chose to go to Cold Stone while we got Pinkberry. But I really liked it. It was so different, you just need to try it!
I got the original with raspberries and chocolate chips...yum.
Funny (and expensive) little things you can buy...
Lighting... cool huh?

Girl Time!
My sister might have had butterflies (see her blog) because of the unknown...but as we were planning our ambush while getting off at "Haven Ave" my stomach was turning! Why does that happen?! So funny! Danielle is turning 30 this coming Saturday! Her last birthday also happened to be my WEDDING day!!!! So, she obviously did not get the attention one deserves on their birthday. This year we are trying to make up for it! And 30 is exciting! Manicures and Pedicures, shopping, Cheesecake Factory, and pinkberry all resulted in a very funnnnn day! Happy Birthday Danielle!

L.O.V.E.

Today we had a girls day for Dani's Bday (will blog about tomorrow) and we stopped at Anthopologie, and it was fun to see my mom have her first Antho experience. Oh the possibilities! I picked up some cute "Fultter Dishtowels" that look ever so cute hanging from my oven at the moment.
And my fav. was this amazing iron "T" (for Taylor), I may post a pic later, I couldn't find a pic online! Gotta love that store. There was on of those "must have" items, you know what I mean...you just don't WANT it, you NEED it. Yeah, it was a pillow, and it was amazing. It was and I think still is, calling my name. May save up for it.

Can't afford the $200 dresses, $495 vases, but it is fun to look anyway!

Friday Night Project
Ever since my last trip to Ikea, I couldn't stop thinking about those amazing textiles. So, I got the idea off of some great design blog to cover some cork board with fabric. Prefect! While Matt surfed, I was a busy bee!
Picked out some "neato" fabric...
Covered the cork board...
And WAAALLAAA!
Up close!
I am trying to add some more color/patterns to the apartment! I think this will add a little splash of excitment!

The pictures say it all...
We got to watch Addie, our niece, this weekend and we had a blast and I think she did too!
We took her to the mall and out to dinner at Ruby's
We learned a few things...Babies drink a LOT of milk.
And when they drink TOO much their bellies get really big and really hard!
We learned that anything can be a toy: a nano
and Uncle Matt's leg hairs...ouch!
Addie thinks her Uncle Matt is hilarious!
Me and Addie at church
That look is too funny!
The most important thing we learned this weekend: make sure babies are done pooping before putting them in the bath! Addie will thank me later that I did not whip out the camera for that one! Even though it was tempting!
