Look at those cheeks! She decided this week that she really wanted to grow! The past few days we have started to get a few smiles too, but this morning I got the biggest smile yet and I melted! I super love her. I tried to get a picture of her smiling, but I guess that big one was all she wanted to give today, so this will have to due! After six painful nursing weeks, I diagnosed Kate with thrush. I think she has had if for a least 3 weeks. I decided to take things into my own hands and told her doctor to call in an Rx. Sure hope this is the cure!
ps. If you/baby have had this, how long did it take to clear up, and how long to nurse and not feel like you are on fire/have glass cutting you? Do you keep nursing? Pump? Shield? Fill me in.

Busy weekend!
The Taylors had their annual family reunion in Palm Desert this year. We were able to go out on Thursday night to catch the tail end of it! It was nice and hot, just how we like it! It was a little more enjoyable this time around. (We were there the week before we had Kate and I was enormous! ) It was a little to hot for Kate, so Matt hung out with her in the room and let me lay out and swim all afternoon!
Most of the Taylors/Tuttles met Kate for the first time! She was in heaven being held the entire time! She was held and cuddled for countless hours from her grandma Pam, and Aunt Jamie and Michele. Joel and Nige met her for the first time, and her Uncle Ryan found out that she loves his head massages...(I think he is the front runner at the moment for Favorite Uncle)
First outlet experience for Kate. She loved it. AKA-she slept the whole time.
(She is wearing a cute dress from the Jessops! Thanks Maryam!)Nigel (Matt's Dad) met Kate for the first time! He is still in denial that he is a grandpa, but I think he secretly likes it.
Few from the villa
THEN...
We rushed home Saturday morning for my cousin Deanna's baby shower!
10 weeks to go and lookin' good!If you can't find Kate, Steph is sure to have her!
She got some good loot for her baby girl!
THEN...
it was off to get ready for Kate's blessing and brunch.
Phew. I am tired.
It is 6pm, and I am not showered and still in my PJs and I am not ashamed.

A name and a blessing
Yesterday Matt blessed Kate in church. It was such a beautiful blessing. I am so grateful for my cute husband and adorable little girl! It was such a beautiful day and everything went perfectly! We had a brunch and got to spend time with our families after church.
The Taylors were all in town for a reunion, so it worked out perfect to have them here for the blessing. Matt's grandparents were also able to come.
Great Grandma and Grandpa Tuttle
The Bewsey Family (just missing Dave, and little Carter that was napping)
Kate's Great Grantparents, Aunt Karen and Uncle Michael, along with her second cousins: Kim, Kevin, Deanna, Steph and Jon all come to her blessing! Her other great aunts and uncles were able to come to the brunch after.
Mops and Papa
Four years ago when I was in Europe I saw this blessing gown in Florence, Italy and new I had to have it for my future daughter. It was such a random thing to do when I was 19, but I am so happy I did! It fit her perfectly and was so pretty!

One month old!
I can't believe it has already been one month! It is so much fun watching her change, but at the same time I want her to stay tiny!
Plum tuckered! After reading lots of books, she fell alseep! I love when her little binky hangs halfway out of her mouth! Babies, babies everywhere!
Getting ready to go to the beach!
Could life get any better?! The beach and my baby..love it!
I love my little family.

Kate has had a little problem for the past 8 days producing a dirty diaper. We have had everyone praying for her for the past week! Today our prayers were answered. It was a glorious moment and the most exciting thing to happen all week! Are we are totally parents, or what?

"Two steps foward, two steps back"
I feel ya Paula.
Guess who nursed in public today?! Yup. Me! We wanted to go to the beach and I decided it was time to face my fears (and not rush home, or cut the day at the beach short).
It was made possible by:
Ashley's cute hooter hider that she made me (thanks!), and our huge umbrella and stroller on either side of me. It went fine, the only problem was it was SUPER windy and the hider kept blowing up! Matt kept saying it wasn't a big deal, and not to worry about it. I asked him how he would feel if his "you-know-what" peeked out in public. He got my point.
On a sadder note, I am ready to quit. I am having TERRIBLE pain durning and inbetween feedings. (The cracks and bleeding are back too). I spend hours online trying to figure out what is going on with me. Obviously it is not normal. Currently I am on medication to treat vascospasms. Dr. said if that is the problem, then the medication should help by Tuesday. If no improvement by then, we will treat it was thrush (even though baby has no signs of it). After that-I quit. It is making my life a painful blur.
I have tried all of your wonderful suggestions! They did help!

Bree Face!
On Saturday Bree come down to visit! I had not seen her for over a year! TOO LONG! In high school we were connected at the hip. I love her. We hit up our old stompin' grounds and had lunch at Fisherman's.

A cradle for Kate
Kate is one lucky girl! My dad made her this beautiful cradle. Everything is handmade and sanded. It is amazing! She loves it! Thank you so much for your countless hours Dad! You are the best!

4 weeks ago to the moment Matt and I were laying at the pool in Palm Springs looking at the stars and wondering what our life would be like after the baby came.

Lots of firsts
Sorry I have been slacking! We have been a little busy over here.
Kate's first time...
meeting her cousin Carter
(who is 5 weeks older! He is going to be a big boy! I love him!)finding her tumb
going to the beach
(little windy so she didn't get to come out of the stroller, but she is in there!)going to her dad's soccer game
(they won!)visiting the doctor
(she is a healthy baby!)meeting her cousin Addison
(Addie loves her and kept saying "baby Kate!" )having a bath
(she didn't like the first bath, but she has started to like them now!)meeting her great grandma, Nana
meeting her Aunt Carly
(So fun to see Carly!!! She is in CA to help with the last minute preparations with her sister's wedding and was so nice to drive down to see me and Kate! I wish she lived closer)meeting her Grandma Pam, Uncle Ryan and Aunt Michele
(some of Matt's family came this weekend from Sacramento to meet Kate. We had fun with them while they fell in love with Kate!)She also had her first photoshoot! To see a sneak peak you can check them out here.
Things are still going really well. We kiss her a million times a day, we stare at her ALL day, and wonder what we did and thought about 2 weeks ago before we had her! She is STILL sleeping all night long. She is starting to be awake for longer periods of time during the day, but is happy during that time. I am SLOWLY but (hopefully) surely, healing up top, so life is getting better! We are obsessed.
