she's two

this girlfriend is the epitome of a two year old, and i love every crazy second of it.

late night ice cream run, summer 2010

note: barbie shirt. buzz, woody, and jessie tightly gripped into dimpled hands. a skinned knee. chubby legs. a pink bow she loves wearing. favorite sun hat.
she thinks she is real fancy, this one.

A how to: By Kate

This is how Kate eats watermelon.

1. Insert watermelon into mouth.
2. Place watermelon into cheek.
3. Push outside of cheek and strain the watermelon juice through teeth.
4. Repeat.

I like her style.

We had yet another fun summer weekend.
We dined at the Pier with my parents and Nana.

We met up with our family at the Spectrum to say goodbye to Mike and Megan...sad!

And this is how we end every single night now...Kate turned 16 and is obsessed with driving.

Life at 17 weeks...

I feel like doing a lot of this lately...
Can't seem to find my energy anywhere...I miss it. This morning Matt was dancing around and did some little dance move/jumping jacks and then told me he would give me $20 if I could do it. I knew it was a long shot...I did a half jump and then quit. He gave me $10 for trying.

I am had a long stretch of about 4 days of no nausea, and then it returned. It is totally manageable now, but who likes feeling nauseous at all? I am still taking Unisom, and one Zofran a day. I might try this week to give up the Zofran...we shall see!

I can cook now! Yipee. But still don't like the lingering smell of most foods.
I am still waiting for my tummy to "pop" out. It looks really unflattering in a swim suit. My Dr. reassured me, by the time we go to Hawaii, "it should look a little more 'pregnant', but people still shouldn't be asking you if you are pregnant." Oh well...at least if I have to look chubby in a swimsuit, I get to do it in Hawaii.
Every night I get those cramp-y growing pains. Not fun.
I have gained about 10 pounds so far. Boo to that. BUT, the good news I don't have to stuff my face every 30 minutes now, so I am hoping the weight gain will slow down.

Baby girl is growing quite nicely and had a good, strong heartbeat on Thursday! Kate is excited, and we are thrilled to have another daughter shortly. Things are looking up...maybe in another two weeks I will be great?!

Busy Weekend!

Friday Night we had a shower for my cute sister in law, to celebrate their first baby! It was a lot of fun, and we can't wait for him to arrive!
It is great having family in town, and we are taking advantage of it! We headed town to T-street on Satuday.
LOVE these two.
Then to the Spectrum for some yummy dinner, and browsing around.

Sunday morning we headed to my sister's for my new niece's baby blessing. Avery looked so cute, and Aaron gave her a beautiful blessing.
Kate, and her cousins, and her cousin's cousins. (Make sense?!)
Carter Man got a little tired, and found a cozy little spot to lay down during the chaos! SO FUNNY!
He finally got up with the girls kicked him out to play Ring Around the Rosie.
Loving on the tiny girl.

Everyone loves Avery and there was plenty of fighting over who got to feed/burp/hold/rock her to sleep! Being the last of 5, definitely has it's perks!

Swimming Lessons 2010

Kate and I did a "Mommy and Me" swim class again this summer. It was really fun for me, but not so much for Kate. She loves the water, but the lessons scared her. She has a killer grip, and can really tug at the heart strings when she pleads, "Mommmmy, hold you, babe! All done!" It was a good learning experience for us. Every morning, she would tell me, "I wanna stay in the car, I'm shy." Fruit snacks could get her out of the car. But once we got to the pool, she would run and hide in the bushes. Too funny. In the end she pulled through, learned how to hold her breath and go under the water, and feels more comfortable in the pool now. Love my little swimmer girl.

Swimmer Kate after her last lesson
Still a little scared we were going to get back in.
Nervously biting her nails!
Kate, and her swim teacher Sarah.
Love this face.
Good job Kate!
I know it wasn't fun for you, but you did so well and you are going to be a great swimmer someday! Love you buggy.

We like Pink

It is SO HOT today!
Don't worry. Only our 4th or 5th Otter Pop of the day.
We both prefer pink...

Ps. For those that have asked...a little bit more of "the wall of frames".
