Step 1: Save up these babies.

Step 2: Steam or boil fresh organic fruits and veggies
Step 3: Puree (by the way those are not my hairy hands, Matt was manning the food processor)
Finished Product: Healthy food for Kate that is yummy enough for me to sneak in some bites of!All for this little girl who waited patiently for some fresh cinnamon pear/apple "dessert" made by Dad.

Lot of work? Yes.
Worth knowing exactly what is going going in my baby? Yes.
Will I do this every week? Probably not. But at least I feel good about it this week!

That does look like a lot of work, and probably worth it sometimes. How cute that Matt helped!

i pureed food too, but never in bulk like you. my baby never liked it enough. he wanted to eat whatever i was eating and never really went for baby food, no matter how good it tasted. i was always hard pressed to find foods that were quick and convenient for him, so i think it is awesome that you got all the work done in one session and have food for her for a week. i think i will tuck this post away in my brain for when number two comes along :).

Good idea. Maybe I will try it. Will you freeze some of it or how long will it last in the frig?
