Sunday Fun

Matt and I went to my sister's house yesterday. It was so fun! Ty gave his first talk in Primary and did a great job! We had an amazing dinner by Danielle and the best dessert! So Yummy! (see her blog for the recipe). We were having a little too much fun with the camera, doing my favorite trick (blowing raseberries and catching your lips in action with the camera! Look at Danielles to see some funny ones.) They are a fun bunch! Matt and Addie hung out all day, later he told me she is his favorite (shhhh) and he could play with her for hours!!! We had such a great time with the Edmonds crew. Can't wait till next time!

Twilight

I am obsessed. I started it last night, and I am more than half way finished. This book is so good! I can't put it down. This is going to be a short post, just because I just want to read! YOU MUST READ THIS! Today was great! We went down to T-Street so Matt could surf with a friend and we ended up staying for a long time. It was great, I just layed out and read my book all day with out feeling guilty that I should be doing something else! Matt took a nap while I read, and then we went and painted a room at my parents, and then went to the mall (I read the whole way in the car). Matt got two shirts from Banana that he is trying on right now! HOT! Then we met up with some of my old friends for In-n-Out. Always yummy! Back to the book! Matt said, "I will be happy when you are finished with that book." He misses me!

ps. I felt super dumb taking that picture at the beach today. Who takes a picture of themselves and a book? And then posts it on their blog????

Tempting Textiles

I have a confession to make. Me and my mom spend over 4 hours at Ikea today. And it was amazing! There is so much to look at. If you go there, make sure you have a lot of time! We were there so long that we had to have a meal there. We were there so long we have to take a break and stretch. We were there so long, we thought about taking a nap on one of the bed. We were there sooo long that my feet a little swollen from all of that walking. We made the loop at least 3 times! I got some great stuff, I will post pictures when Matt builds and puts it all together for me! There was this wall of "textiles, litterally a whole great big wall. I stood there for what seems like days, thinking of all the creative things I could do with them. I LOVE IKEA. Maybe I'll go tomorrow. Who else loves IKEA?

ps. When I was on my study abroad in Vienna, there was an IKEA bus that would come to the middle of the town and pick people up and drive them out to the middle of nowhere where the Ikea was...I just might have been on that bus a few times! Loved it then, love it now!

WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!!!? I hate it, but I love it even more.

Wow. I have been sitting here since 10:50 trying to change my blog to make it look "cool". Why can I not just convince myself that the dots are cool enough? Because anyone could have it! I want to create mine, and make it reflect some personality and individuality. Only problem, I am not a graphic designer, or a computer programmer. I think I was trying to do something way above my head. I am suppose to be getting “rest” because I am sick, however, I have been sitting, laying, kneeling, standing, you name a position, I have been in it this morning/afternoon, thinking a new position will give me some new insight and knowledge. I am thinking, “Ok, now I am really going to take this seriously, it will help to be sitting up.” I can’t sit still because I am so irritated that I can’t figure it out, and don’t have the tools/knowledge to do it!!! At this point my hands are tingling and I am sweating, as I am trying to break the news to the blogging part of myself, that I am giving up. NO! I won’t do it! I made something amazing, I just can’t upload it! I am not looking forward to Matt’s questions when he comes home everyday, “What did you do today?” I suck. Why do I care so much? I guess a blog represents yourself. Ani Taylor, I will have you know, is not one of the 12 templates, that you can so casually pick the day you sign up. Ani Taylor is something AMAZING and CREATIVE!!!!! HAHAHAHA. Just wait. You will see.

National Sibling Day

Well, today I was watching Oprah and it was Sibling day! I got so excited and wanted to honor my own siblings! I even went to my parents house to dig through my crap to find a few poems I wrote about my family 10 + years ago! But, then I googled "national sibling day" and found out it was April 10th. Opps. I guess Oprah was a rerun! But, I am just pretending it was today so I can share the poems and a few pictures!!!! I have the best siblings! We have had so many fun times together. I think now that we are getting older we have gotten so much closer. I love when we are all able to be together. Enjoy! And Danille, don't be offended, I wrote it a long time ago! I love you!

HOW FUNNY IS THAT!?!

Nicole Richie and Jenna Vela.....

What do Nicole Richie and Jenna Vela have in common besides being really funny and throwing out the peace sign??? THEY BOTH HAVE A BUN IN THE OVEN!!!!!! I am sooooo excited that Jenna is going to be a mama! She and Jake are going to dominate the parenting scene. Jenna has been telling me forever how excited she is for her kids to come home from school and be dancing to this one song, and say to her kids, and I quote, " Hey kids (dance move and a pause), welcome home (dance move and a pause), wanna snack?!" Now she only has to wait 6 years for that moment when the lil Vela comes home from kindergarden to see his hot mama dancing around with a sweet snack out on the table!!! And just for the record, the Vela baby will be way hotter than Nicole and Joel Maddens!

A Core of Soft Caramel Encircled by Chocolate & Caramel Ice Creams & Fudge Chips

With a name like this...it better be good right. Just our thought when we bought it a few weeks ago. Matt and I have a rule, that when we put the pint back in the freezer, the ice cream has to be all flat and even all the way across the top. The perfect mixture of chocolate, and caramel ice cream, and the core, HELLO CORE, of CARAMEL is what makes it so fabulous. But it is really just an excuse to keep eating. Sometimes I "accidentally" make it uneven, so I get, I mean have, to eat more to even it out again! Matt secretly does it too!

Unfortunately, this flavor is not found as easy as your average Chunky Monkey. My sister was on a hunt herself for this goodness, and luckily found it after a long search. So I have added this link for your convenience, and mine!

Fourth of July!

Yesterday was so much fun! I am so lucky to live close to all of my family! The day started out early going to Trails with Matt's friends, so they could surf. It was not a very sunny morning, but fun none the less. The downer was that we basically had to scale down a cliff to get there! I was scared I was going to fall. Not ready to sacrifice my other butt cheek in the name of a good wave. We made it down and then up again, with out a scratch! Then we went to the pool to catch some rays with Mike and Megan. After we had an amazing BBQ at my parents house. It wass soooooo good. My mom blew Martha Stewart out of the water! My sister came with her kids and they looked cute as always. The boys, including Aaron, were in matching shirts, and Addie was wearing a darling outfit and the greatest shoes! Take a look at the pictures! The fireworks at the Sports Park were great! We made it just in time! The whole gang was there. It was so great to be around this July 4th. Last year I was flying back to Utah and crying as I watched the fireworks from the plane alone! The Taylors went to the Rodeo last night and watched the fireworks after! Sounds fun! Maybe next year we will celebrate with some cowboys!

Doheny Adventure

We have been to Costco about 4 times in the past week. Matt is obsessed. He bought me a surfboard there, and tonight we took it out for the first time. We went to Doheny, there were TONS of people out there. The water is also really shallow and really rocky. Not good. So, I caught the first wave, got up, and then at the end of the ride I jumped off in the water and landed on some rocks. IT HURT SO BAD! My leg/butt are a scrapped up. I wussed out and went in after one ride. I would post a picture of it, but it might be a little inappropriate. Better luck tomorrow if I can muster of the courage. On the way home we stopped at Chronic Taco in San Clemente, it was really yummy. It made my butt feel better.
