Feed the Hungry

This is the coolest thing I have discovered in a long time. (Found it on Tangled and True). You go to this website, and take vocabulary quizzes, and for every word you get right, they donoate 20 grains of rice to starving people. I did it for less than 2 minutes and contributed 400 grains of rice to those who really need it. Check it out.

“What if just knowing what a word meant could help feed hungry people around the world? Well, at FreeRice it does . . . the totals have grown exponentially.”

- The Washington Post

Since October the site has donated 14,487,250,290 grains of rice!

Score!

I was just wondering why the office wasn't on this fall...HAHAHAA. What a pleasant surprise to find out it was, and I have all those amazing episodes to catch up on! Apparently it was on, but I wasn't. It was during those few months that just passed with out me being aware. I was falling asleep around 7pm each night. Poor me. I wonder what else happened in those months? Matt told me I apparently finished student teaching too! Good for me. Those were not fun months.

Carrot Girl

Bump

Here it is ladies. She must be growing like a weed in there! She seems to think it is party time as well...she gets more and more rowdy everyday. I think she is going to be a mama's girl because she loves chocolate. Every time I eat it, she goes crazy. Good girl!

Blast!

Look what came in the mail, AGAIN. The first time I got the dreaded Jury Summons in the mail was the summer we got married, they wanted me to be a juror the day of our wedding! So...I extended. Next time I got it I was student teaching, so...I extended. Hmm...what to do this time???

By June 2008, I will be a mama, and be providing care for a child...opps. I guess I can never do it again. Too bad, because it sounds like so much fun.

Boot Camp

My oldest nephew, Tyler, turned 5 on Friday! He had an "army" themed birthday party on Saturday! It was so cute! They did a little obstacle course, scavenger hunt, and some drills, and of course everyone was dressed in Camo. We got Ty a bed tent. He loved it, and so did Jake, and even Addison. They are so stinkin' cute!
After the party the boys (Matt, Dad, Aaron, and Tyler and Jakey) went to a Monster Truck Show. Matt was pretty amped when he got home, it sounded pretty fun (for the boys). The girls went out to dinner!
Thanks for a fun Saturday Danielle!

Us and the Birthday Boy
Me and my cute nephews!
Mattie pants, with Tyler and Jake. They look so tough.

Tyler getting his first glimpse of his new bed he gets to camp out in every night.
It was a big hit!
Who knew some rods and some fabric could create so much fun!
Jake doing an army crawl...
Matt and Addie, playing chase

i heart ca

We went to the beach for a picnic one night. It was sooo beautiful! And just to rub it in a little more to my Utah friends, I laid out yesterday. Yup, that is right. 78 degrees. Amazing.

EW

I can't keep interested in "normal news" so I often wonder to the "Odd News" sections. Today was really odd.

I am a winner!

I love love love Tangled and True, they find the best modern, practical, and a lot of the time, eco-friendly products. It is a blog that you can count on that will always be updated with good stuff. They started out the new year with a week of give-aways...and I decided to enter one! AND I WON! 387 people enter to win the prize, and little-old me won! I was so excited. I randomly looked on the website today, totally forgetting that today was the day they were to announce all the winners, and was reallllly surprised when I saw my name! I was doing a little victory dance as Matt come home for lunch, he told me I was "as awesome as a possum!" I'll take it, and my loot!

Dear Blogging Mamas,

I am searching for a crib right now and need some advice. Who better to ask than you! What are some features that are must haves? What are some things you dislike about your baby's crib. What should I be looking for? Where did you get yours? Anything would help! Thanks!

It is about time...

I felt Banana Girl move for the first time last night! I was so excited, I woke Mattie up to tell him! Finally!

Happy Unbirthday!

Yesterday Matt was singing, " A very merry unbirthday to me, to ME!" He is a funny guy. I think it is funny he even knew it was his unbirthday! In honor of his unbirthday, here is a video I took of him yesterday showing me his talent show act he did in college. What a cutie!

Blog Stalking

Let's be honest. We all blog stalk to a certain extent. Has this happened to you...
You are out in public, like say that mall, beach, church, or a restaurant, and you see someone in REAL LIFE that you blog stalk. My first reaction it so say, "Hey Gertrude, how did Ralph like the stripped tie you got him for his birthday" Or.." I am glad you and your kids are feeling better from the stomach flu you had this weekend"... And then right as the hand is about to wave and the words start to come out, I realize I don't REALLY know them.
Has this happened to you? And what do you do?! Introduce yourself? Cuz that seems a little creepy. But I guess blog stalking is too!

I love Banana's

I am 20 weeks today and baby girl is as long as a banana! 20 weeks down, 20 to go!

p.s.

We had our 19 week ultrasound last week, and found out that we are in fact having a girl. The week before that my Dr. advised me NOT to go out to buy girl clothes just yet- when I told her found out at 13 weeks. I was freaking out a little....and absolutely had a nervous stomach ache last week during the ultrasound when I thought it look like there was a little too much going on down there and Matt started to look like he has just won a bet. BUT... it was just legs, and umbilical cord, etc. We ARE having a girl!
