Happy Birthday Dani!
I truly have the best sister. Hands down. No one compares to her. She is my best friend! I talk to her everyday, if not multiple times a day. She is such a great listener, gives great advice, is an amazing mother, is so beautiful, and example to me in everything that she does. I admire her so much. She has been there for me through thick and thin. Here is proof that she is the best sister:
She is such a good mama. Her kids are obsessed with their mother. I love this picture of her and Jakey. One day I'll have to write out my labor story...but until then... when my water broke I called my mom, my sister, and THEN my doctor. My sister BEAT Matt and I to the hospital and she lived 45 minutes away from it. She was bound and determined not to miss it (She made is about 20 hours before Kate was born). Anyways, how awesome is that? She was there to talk me through the contractions and to make me laugh inbetween. While I was pushing she was the counter and she secretly counted really fast because she felt bad for me until the nurse called her on it.
Danielle and her newest love. Such a good mom. I love that Carter is 5 weeks older so I always know what to expect with Kate in the coming weeks.
Danielle and Aaron (and Jake).
This is us on a cruise. She is always up for fun!
She shares the same love of Edward Cullen that I do.
She is a sushi lover and even got our Nana to try some!
This is me and Danielle at my shower she threw for me WEEKS after giving birth to Carter.
She got pregnant 5 weeks BEFORE me so she would experience all the aches and pains and tell me what worked best and let me know what I was in for.
This is my sister immediately after giving birth to Cater and she is looking at ME. See. Click to enlarge. She seriously loves me. (She is probably really making sure I am not shooting "down there"...like I haven't been the photographer for all the birth. Come on, I know what I am doing.) And notice the smile. I think she was trying to be extra smiley as to not freak out 8- month-pregnant sister.
How does one look this amazing after giving birth? I know I look good, but I am talking about her. :) My sister is very very pretty.
This is Danielle at one of my showers. She brought her 2 year old AND her ONE WEEK OLD BABY. Yes, she drove 1 hour to be at my shower 7 days after Carter was born. 7 days after Kate was born I still couldn't sit down and was defiantly still wearing PJs. Again, amazing.
Happy Birthday Danielle! I love you!

I love my Mattie. The past two years of marriage have been amazing. He is my perfect match. He is the best husband I could ask for. He is sweet, kind, loving, thoughtful, handsome, and fun. He is my best friend. I love that man!

Changes...
Busy week. I am exhausted. We packed up our cute little apartment, put it all in storage, and are bunking with my parents until we can buy a house (more like a townhouse, or condo). It has been a hard week with Kate. I think she senses the commotion and stress, and has not let anyone besides me and Matt hold her. She barely let me put her down all week. No naps. Just wants to cuddle. Poor thing. And poor me. But, things are slowing starting to feel not so crazy.
In other news...anyone heard of Mango Mouth? Matt and I are obsessed with Mangos, and eat one or two a day. I love how it tastes right next to the skin the best. Well, after devouring one the other day my lips were stinging so bad! And then I got these little bumps all over my lips! My lips had been bothering me for the past week. I thought they got sunburned and we really bumpy and felt chapped. I told my cousins about it and they said "YOU HAVE MANGO MOUTH!" I guess I am allergic the the skin of mangos. It makes your lips break out into bumps, and I guess you can get it all over your face. So strange.
Well folks, that is all I got.
Me=boring.

Weekend Trip
We flew up to Sacramento this weekend to attend Matt's 10 year high school reunion. His little brother is leaving on August 20th on his mission, so we also went to say goodbye to him! My cousin and his wife had their baby a month early, so we got to see their cute baby as well! It was tons of fun! However I just went to look for the camera so this post would be complete with pictures and it is MISSING! I took a picture of Kate on the plane and that is the last thing I remember about the camera. I do however remember hearing something fall while I was nursing and I thought it was the seatbelt. My guess is that it wasn't the seatbelt...
We took some really good pictures, but these will have to do. I would have put a picture of:
Matt reading Kate a book on the way up to Sacramento. She was totally into it.
Matt and I kayaking at sunset.
(it actually looked a little like this!)
Matt and his brothers shooting guns and riding 4 wheelers
Me holding cute baby Sydney.
This is really her, stole from family blog.
Matt and I at his reunion. (it was pretty lame. think lots of drunk 28 year olds, girls with tons of make up, mini skirts, cigarette breath, loud music but no one dancing, awkward.) It was fun to meet who he hung out with in high school and see some of his friends. Hi Jenni!
Matt doing flips on the tramp.
Me doing a toe touch on the tramp. (and discovering that i really have joined the mom club and can't jump on the tramp with out peeing a little. opps!)
Matt and Joel posing for a classic picture that will have to last 2 years. But oops, I lost the camera so these cute Asian brothers will do.
The Taylor's really know how to have a good weekend! It was fun to go up there and visit. It was really nice to have a few extra hands with Kate! She loves her Grandma, (didn't really see Grandpa), Aunt Michele, Uncle Ryan and Uncle Joel. We knew she was in good hands when we left her to go to the reunion! It was hard to leave her that long! But we all survived! Can't wait to go back!
Ps. Dear Camera stealer,
You are probably a Southwest cleaning person and scored big time when you discovered that shiny black camera under my seat. Did you feel a little guilty when you looked through our pictures and saw a cute little baby and a family kayaking? Or when you watched the video of us singing to our baby and her smiling back? I hope so. Someone needs a spankin'. Keep the camera, I just want our pictures.
Sincerely,
Me.

My little Kate bug
We are so in love with this baby. Every morning feels like Christmas morning. I love waking up knowing I get to spend the day with my little girl. I can't stop kissing her fuzzy little head and her chubby soft pink cheeks. She is such a sweet baby. I love having my little constant companion at my side everyday. I think she gets more and more beautiful everyday. And somehow I love her more than I did the day before. I never imagined motherhood to be this amazing.

I have not lost one pound since Kate was 3 weeks old.
Today we cashed in on our El Pollo Loco scratchers. You can only get one free thing per visit, so we have been there 3 times already today. Planning on a late night free churro and small drink run tonight. (maybe that is why I have not lost any weight.)
Kate woke up at 7 to be fed and then slept until 11 am this morning. Love her.
I popped a blood vessel in my finger playing frisbee at the beach.
While waiting for the tub to fill up I laid down all the way flat and something strange came out of the faucet, I TRIED to sit up really fast but the small of my back was SUCTIONED to the bottom of the tub! It freaked me out and I pulled against the suctions which made it worse. After a few seconds of panic I painfully pulled myself free. My back is now bruised and very sore. (I know, strangest thing huh?)
I got fried at the beach this week and I am really happy about it.
I tried sewing this week. I finally got the machine threaded and the bobbin thingy filled after 30 minutes on the phone with my sister and then with my mom. I cut the fabric out wrong. I was trying to make PJ bottoms and I cut out two right fronts and two right backs. Yup, doesn't work.
I think "the thrush" is coming back. Yikes.
I want Breaking Dawn, but totally forgot until now that is came out today.
Matt called to cancel our cable when we move and the man thought we wanted it done on the 1st. So no TV all weekend and for the next 2 weeks. I am kinda excited.
We got a pazookie tonight and it was amazing.
